New Balance Gives $1 Million USD in Shoes to Healthcare Workers
Another commitment to aiding tireless frontline staff.

New Balance is giving over $1 Million USD worth of sneakers to healthcare workers. The American footwear label has been an active proponent for the fight against the coronavirus pandemic in the U.S. Back in the March, the company announced its commitment to producing face masks for hospitals.
Over 13,000 pairs of sneakers will be donated. In a statement, New Balance’s Vice President of Global Marketing Chris Davis mentioned, “New Balance and our athletes are proud and humbled to be able to show our immense appreciation to those sacrificing so much right now during the COVID-19 crisis.” Davis added, “we are thankful to provide footwear to medical institutions in our communities and to help keep those working on the front lines comfortable.” Though precise details of how the philanthropic endeavor will roll out have yet to be disclosed, New Balance will be partnering up with some of its sponsored athletes, like Dejounte Murray, Milos Raonic, Rose Lavelle, Sydney McLaughlin, Rob Pannell, Zdeno Chara, Trayvon Bromell and Joey Gallo, to name a few.
In case you missed it, New Balance is dedicated to producing 100,000 PPE face masks a week.
