Lil Tjay Taps Into Brooklyn Drill for New Mixtape 'State of Emergency'
Featuring the late Pop Smoke, Fivio Foreign, and more.

Lil Tjay has delivered his latest mixtape, State of Emergency. The project was announced earlier this week on his 19th birthday and includes previously released single “Ice Cold,” which arrived alongside a music video detailing NYC’s desolate streets.
On the seven-track project, Tjay continues to highlight his melodious approach to rap, delivering a variety of bars aimed at dulling the blow of these tumultuous times. He does this alongside cameos from the late Pop Smoke, drill up-and-comer Fivio Foreign, Jay Critch, J.I the Prince, Jay Gwapo, Sheff G, and Sleepy Hollow. The obvious highlight of the record is the riotous AXL Beats-produced “Zoo York,” which sees Tjay uniting with Smoke and Fivio for some back-to-back bars. Throughout the project, the young rapper deep dives into Brooklyn’s newfound drill movement, moving away from his normative trap’n'b sound.
