Juice WRLD and Trippie Redd's "Tell Me U Luv Me" Premieres With Stylized Music Video
Produced by Lyrical Lemonade.
Juice WRLD‘s posthumous work has slowly been released to the public, as his estate curates, produces and pieces together the late rapper’s immense back catalog. The newest release is a single that features Juice WRLD’s close friend, Trippie Redd, accompanied by a music video directed and edited by Lyrical Lemonade mastermind Cole Bennett.
Following Lyrical Lemonade‘s clip for Eminem’s “Godzilla,” its effort for “Tell Me U Luv Me” encompasses a variety of artistic cues. Illustrations co-mingle with grainy footage of Trippie Redd in a studio space and archival footage of Juice WRLD and his girlfriend Ally Lotti, who makes a guest appearance later in the video. The imagery of Redd is seamlessly integrated with old shots of Juice WRLD, reinforcing the title card at the end of the video: “LEGENDS NEVER DIE.”
Atop a tumbling guitar hook, a staggering blend of bass and snapping percussion form the base for Juice WRLD’s alternating flows, swapping between wistful singing that abets Redd’s contribution to the chorus and more aggressive rapping for the verses. As was normal for the Death Race For Love rapper, Juice WRLD alternates between introspective exploration and paeans to his partner: “Babe, welcome to my world, dark and confusin’/Get lost in it often, the same way I’m lost in you.”

Most recently, Redd and PARTYNEXTDOOR teamed for the genre-bending “Excitement.”
