JME Gets a Restraining Order From His Durag in "Live" Music Video
Taking on the role of a makeshift news reporter alongside Merky ACE.
JME has delivered the latest music video for his fifth studio album, Grime MC. Taking on the role of a reporter for makeshift news corporation “The Razor’s Edge,” the newly-released visual for “Live” featuring Merky ACE sees the Boy Better Know co-founder switch between reporting on the news and being the subject of it.
In the rather cheeky visual, JME and Merky can be seen reporting on the frontlines of a battlefield to being the subjects of a high-speed police chase, with JME even hilariously shown leaving a courtroom after receiving a restraining order from his durag. The Tre Mission-produced cut is the 17th track on JME’s guerrilla-released Grime MC album from last November, whereby both rappers exchange reference-filled bars about their place within the industry and the inevitable mark they leave upon it through MCing.
The visual for “Live” follows last week’s offering for “Pricks,” as well as his Skepta-featuring video for their collaborative track “Nang.”
