Louisville, Kentucky rapper 2KBABY dropped one of the year’s most intriguing projects, bursting onto the scene with his Pregame Rituals, 12 tracks that showcased his growing star-power through addicting melodies and songwriting chops well beyond his years. Yesterday, the 19-year-old rapper debuted his new “HALF A MILLI” music video featuring YFN Lucci, amplifying the piano-driven song by chilling in a bathtub full of blue hundreds, writing his latest track in his office while seemingly balancing his checkbook. The Josh Jones-directed visual quickly became one of the top trending offerings on YouTube.

Born Christian Michael Todd, 2KBABY grew up in the Southside of Louisville, eventually teaming up with producer Danny Hajj and moving to Atlanta to craft his unique sound. He arrived with last summer’s “Old Streets” and has been building up momentum ever since. “HALF A MILLI” stresses the theme of more money, more problems, as the young artist let’s his fans know that just because there’s money in the bank, the added responsibilities leads to more stress.

In more music updates, Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist have announced a new collaborative album titled Alfredo set to release tomorrow (May 29, 2020) with a new music video for their lead single “1985”.
