Young Jasper Takes to Parisian Streets for "Cologne" Music Video
The latest offering from the Chicago up-and-comer.
Chicago rapper Young Jasper has been dropping off heaters for a hot minute, delivering his Something to Say EP last year and a slew of loosies since, including his most recent Gabos project. As he continues to jumpstart the new wave of Chicago MCs, today he’s dropped off a new song titled “Cologne” alongside a hazy lofi visual.
Continuing to exemplify his nonchalant delivery amid expertly-laced wordplay, “Cologne” sees Jasper rapping over a laidback trap beat, with features eerie piano chords that lay down a minacious backdrop for the young rapper to glide over. The Daxx-directed visual sees Jasper in Paris, showcasing him shopping at local corner stores and rapping in front of chapels and the Eiffel Tower, whereby vintage analog edits and psychedelic color grading take hold.
You can catch the visual for “Cologne” above.
