Nike's MX-720-818 Gets Space Suit-Inspired Makeover
Fresh futuristic footwear.
Nike has unveiled a brand new take on the MX-720-818. Following a silvery itertation of the silhouette from last month, the futuristic sneaker is back with a clean “White/Indigo Fog” makeover.
Starting at the top of the silhouette is a bright orange “Nike” logo placed over a crisp white tongue, matching the shade of the rest of the uppers. Inspired by spacesuits, the uppers have been intricately detailed with diamond-shaped quilting, complemented by subtle horizontal ribbing. A tiny mini-Swoosh has been placed at the toebox, while the heel counter comes with a smooth suede panel and a ripstop pull tab. All of these details rest over a chunky semi-translucent “Indigo Fog”-toned midsole, stamped with Swooshes as well as “MX-720-818” and “720” branding for the final touches.
