Yoshitomo Nara Drops Special Edition Print for Dallas Contemporary
One hundred percent of proceeds will benefit the museum’s programming.

Ahead of Dallas Contemporary’s solo exhibition of Yoshitomo Nara this fall, the museum is releasing another set of the 2019 print titled Marching on a Butterbur Leaf. Designed especially for Dallas Contemporary, the 24 by 18 inch print is based on the artist’s 2016 painting and features a large-eyed child standing atop a leaf. The print is back by popular demand after selling out in under one hour last year.
Produced by offset printing, the lithograph draws on Nara’s combination of pop-cultural imagery, personal experience, and anime-inspired characters. Marching on a Butterbur Leaf is priced at $350 USD, which includes an iron-level membership of $174 USD value to Dallas Contemporary. The print may also be purchased on its own for $200 USD. One hundred percent of proceeds will benefit the museum’s mission of presenting contemporary art to the public through various exhibitions, publications, and educational programs.
Marching on a Butterbur Leaf will drop at 11 a.m. EDT today on Dallas Contemporary’s website.
In other news, the MoMA Design Store has dropped dozens of rare books that have been stored in its publications archives for decades.
