Vans Drops Washed-Out Checkerboard Slip-Ons, Authentics and Sport Sneakers
Presenting distressed soles, dirtied canvas and suede panels.
Vans has released a quartet of washed-out, checkerboard-equipped sneakers, giving the Slip-On, Authentic and Sport models a new look.
All three models appear in a distressed, patriotic colorway of “Dress Blue/Chili Pepper,” which sits atop the cream canvas base. Another pair of Authentics are offered in “Black/Multi,” which also sports the washed-out look. All four pairs are also given a distressed sole unit, adding black smudges and marks to the vulcanized midsole for a pre-worn, already skated-in look.
The Slip-On features its washed checkerboard print on the mid panel of the shoe, and is contrasted by “Dress Blue” suede on the front of the shoe and at the heel. The same suede is featured on the Sport model — an Old Skool-like pair that features the OG V side stripe — while the two Authentic sneakers are made entirely from canvas, sporting the washed print all over their uppers.
Vans’ washed pack can be viewed above and purchased on Vans’ website now. Prices range from $60 USD for the Slip-On and Authentic models to $65 USD for the Sport offering.
