Who better than to feature Thom Yorke on a remotely-broadcasted episode of The Tonight Show. That was the case earlier this evening on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, wherein the Radiohead frontman joined as the musical guest on tonight’s remote broadcast. The famed singer-songwriter debuted a new song called “Plasticine Figures” on the broadcast, which Fallon said was an unfinished song that Yorke decided to finish fo the performance.
Relaying the lyrics in a Tweet, Thom gave fans a special look at his creative notes, showcasing the song’s chords as well as rewritten lyrics. Sitting in a dark lit room, the video shows Yorke at a piano, singing “Happy to serve/Happy to linger/While you make up your face/Grace becomes/Your great wisdom/a superhuman feat.”
The new song is Yorke’s first since 2019’s album, ANIMA. You can listen to “Plasticine Figures” above.
