Martine Rose Launches Web Store With SS20 Editorial Shot Through Zoom
Also showcasing her extensive archive dating back to 2007.
London-based designer Martine Rose has announced the launch of an e-commerce platform, releasing her Spring/Summer 2020 collection as well as hosting an in-depth archive of Martine Rose designs dating back to 2007.
To launch the SS20 collection online, Martine Rose has partnered with a number of models to create an isolation lookbook. Continuing the label’s community ethos, each of the models featured has walked in previous Martine Rose shows. The images were created in partnership with Rose’s creative team, including photography coaching through Zoom and styling tips via WhatsApp.
Speaking about the specially-created imagery, Martine Rose described it as “the most obvious solution to an immediate problem. We wanted to tell a story through the site and the self-isolation imagery turned out to be very honest and reflective of not just the brand but our current reality.”
The Martine Rose web store will launch on May 4, and will stock the SS20 collection alongside the archive retrospective, allowing the brand’s fans to look at Rose’s previous work and referneces.
