Although live concerts and performances have been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Warner Music Group is bringing together past performances of some of its best artists in a livestream event called PlayOn Fest.
The three-day livestream event takes viewers across the globe with past performances from festivals like Bonnaroo and Rock in Rio. Over 65 top artists are featured in the streaming lineup including Lil Uzi Vert, Cardi B, the late Nipsey Hussle, and more. The festival launched on April 25 and will also feature previously recorded performances helmed by Wiz Khalifa, Paramore, Coldplay, Green Day, David Guetta, Janelle Monae, and more.
PlayOn Fest was created to benefit the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund in partnership with the UN Foundation. Warner Music Group has also launched exclusive PlayOn Fest merch with the proceeds to go directly to the relief campaign.
