Post Malone will host a livestream concert tribute to Nirvana this Friday, April 24 on his official YouTube channel. Broadcasting live from his home, he will perform a set of “Nirvana hits and fan favorites,” as per a press release. The livestream event will raise funds for the United Nations Foundation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization. Fans will be able to make donations in support of COVID-19 relief efforts in real time during the concert, with Google matching all donations at up to $5 million USD at a 2:1 rate. All proceeds will go to the UN Foundation.
An avowed Nirvana fan, Post Malone has previously covered “All Apologies” live. A portrait of Kurt Cobain is tattooed on his knuckles, while “Stay Away” — a reference to Nirvana’s song of the same name — is tattooed on his forehead.
