'Peanuts' and BAIT Team up on Sustainable Collection for Earth Day 2020
T-shirts and sweaters are made from plastic bottles and recycled fabrics.
BAIT and Peanuts have come together once again, this time celebrating Earth Day 2020 with a capsule comprised of T-shirts, sweatshirts, tote bags and other small carrying options.
In order to create the sustainable collection, BAIT has partnered with Upcycle LA, together making T-shirts and sweaters made from 60 percent recycled plastic bottles found throughout the U.S.A., and 40 percent recycled fabric from old T-shirts and cotton. It combines this to produce a recycled yarn that utilizes at least five plastic bottles per piece, and continues its environmentally-friendly initiative by making the collection locally in Los Angeles, where Upcycle’s knit house, dye house, factory, and headquarters are all within a five-mile radius to reduce its carbon footprint.
The collection features standout pieces such as the Our World Tote Bag in “Green/Heather,” which depicts Snoopy snoozing on top of Earth, as well as the Nature is Nurture T-shirt, which sees Snoopy camp out in the desert. Elsewhere, BAIT presents a zip bag and a pencil case, a graphic centered on the phrase “Recycle, Return, Reuse,” and another graphic encouraging people to “Get Your Hands Dirty.”
The Peanuts x BAIT Earth Day 2020 collection can be seen in the gallery above and purchased on BAIT’s website now. Pieces range from $15 USD to $70 USD.
In other news, Mount Sunny has showcased its “Gardening Club” collection for Earth Day 2020.
