Nike Canyon Sandal Releases in Wild "Multi-Color"
An ideal warm weather head-turner.
Nike Sportswear‘s summer sandal lineup for 2020 is undeniably striking, and the latest — and loudest — model to join the festivities is this uber-colorful Canyon. Leaning heavily into its Nike ACG inspiration, this sumptuous sandal combines a cacophony of colors with a rugged base, making for a design that can either hit the beach, pound the streets or take to the trails.
Uppers are constructed of stretchy-yet-sturdy neoprene, and each foot offers different tones: the left uses orange and purple, while the right equips blue and green. Both are secured by black buckles branded by various Nike hits, and feature a volt strap reaching around the heel to lock the foot in place.
Ridged midsoles place soft black EVA foam directly under the foot. Below this layer of cushioning sits a much firmer rubber outsole, which also adds colorful flecked detailing, somewhat reminiscent of Nike’s forthcoming Space Hippie line. This outsole is finalized by flex grooves and a lugged traction pattern, rounding off its hybrid style.
