G-SHOCK Launches NASA-Themed DW-5600 Watch
Complete with moon-shaped backlight and a special case.
G-SHOCK is paying homage to NASA with its latest DW-5600 watch design. The special edition timepiece and packaging feature a bevy of motifs that honor the American institution’s legacy of space exploration and discovery, accompanied by a brief video indebted to the famous slogan often heard before liftoff: “All systems go.”
Retaining the timeless DW-5600 silhouette, G-SHOCK elevated the new DW5600NASA20-7CR watch with an all-white case and strap inspired by spacesuits, offset by a grey face and classic LED display, upgraded with a special moon-shaped backlight. NASA’s famous logo appears above, while the American flag is printed on the band loop and “National Aeronautics and Space Administration” is printed in black on the lower band. To complete the aesthetic, the timepiece is bundled inside a custom tin influenced by vehicles like spaceships and lunar landers.
The NASA-themed DW-5600 is available on G-SHOCK’s website and through select retailers.
