Higher Brothers Member Melo Debuts "Daili" Music Video
From his upcoming solo album ‘Old Master.’
Chengdu-based rapper and Higher Brothers member Melo is going solo with his debut album Old Master set to release April 21 via 88rising. After his first single “Born Like This” caught on last week, he returns to link with fellow Higher Brothers member KnowKnow with a new visual for “Daili.”
“Daili” translates to “Agent” in English and references Melo’s “international proxies who spread Higher Brothers’m music and Melo’s Orange Dragon brand throughout the world,” per a recent press release. In the Feng Liang-directed visual, Melo and his fellow Higher Brothers members drop off cash at numerous stops and peel out in rally cars in an abandoned warehouse. The track is bouncy, full of hi-hats and a pop-leaning key loop in the backdrop as Melo switches flows and languages freely. His effort will follow in the footsteps of solo projects from KnowKnow and Masiwei.
Fellow 88rising member Rich Brian recently dropped off a new single “Bali” featuring Guapdad 4000 and delivered an exclusive Rich Brian x HYPEBEAST Self-Isolation Playlist.
