Love Mansuy Recruits Lil Wayne For "Count On You" Remix
Buzzing R&B music dad Love Mansuy secures an impressive spot from Lil Wayne.

Love Mansuy, the New Jersey-bred artist, is paving his own unorthodox path in the world of alternative R&B, securing a rare Lil Wayne appearance that builds on his smooth number “Count On You”. The single is from his most recent EP Of Age where the singer-songwriter and instrumentalist delivered a sonically moving window into the realities of bringing life into the world and creating a family while trying to pursue his music dreams. At 27, Montreal-born Mansuy has spent the past few years in LA slowly bubbling, gaining the attention of Teddy Riley and seeing vocal comparisons to that of Brent Faiyaz, with an experimental twist.
Now Mansuy is getting 2020 underway by recruiting Lil Wayne, who delivers a rare introspective verse ignited by his classic lighter flick, “Actavis got me drippin’ like Activator, can I count on you and throw away my calculator?” Mansuy spoke on his soul-baring collaboration with an early influence in Lil Wayne saying, “Being a student of music and the game, Wayne is hip-hop’s Kobe Bryant to me. I was just a kid when I started observing Wayne. His dedication to his craft, his individuality and pure genuineness as a person has always appealed to me. Not only did he revolutionize music with his mixtapes and albums but he cultivated his own sound that in turn cultivated a generation. So for a legend like him to recognize my work and respect it enough to jump on my single, a song in which I contemplate the difficulties of choosing to pursue music, while raising a son with my partner, is something you can only dream of.”
“Count on You” remix is an Amazon Original track for now, exclusively on Amazon Music’s home, R&B Rotation. The remix will be hitting all streaming services later this year.
