Elah Hale Drops 'Room 206' EP and "My House" Video
The New York singer-songwriter unveils her debut album.
New York singer-songwriter Elah Hale has released her debut EP titled Room 206. Encompassing nine tracks including previously released ones like “ITPA” (In The Party Alone), the album draws influences ranging from jazz to electronic music to create a unique genre-bending sound. The 20-year-old also retells stories of relationships and personal experiences using her rich and soothing vocals.
In conjunction with the EP release, she has also unveiled new visuals for the soulful track, “My House.” Directed by Robbie Joseph, the video parodies The Real Housewives and shows the songstress entertaining herself in a stately mansion by playing tennis, enjoying a lavish bath and painting. “…I wanted to showcase the fun but potential loneliness in being a luxurious high-class woman,” Hale shared in the press release. ” It feels especially pertinent now in the time of isolation and quarantine to show a version of happiness whilst being home”
