Spring weather can careen from bright sunshine and warm breezes to overcast skies and torrential downpours at the drop of a hat, so Vans has equipped three of its most popular silhouettes — the Old Skool, the Sk8-Hi and the UltraRange EXO — with durable GORE-TEX fabrics, perfect for tackling the season’s occasionally petulant moods. These three silhouettes provide four total colorways that range from simple to vivid, ensuring that there’s enough GORE-TEX goodness to suit all tastes.
Royal purple/black and bright yellow/red makeups of the Old Skool kick things off, and are joined by white/tan Sk8-His and black/white UltraRange EXOs. Each silhouette may clash in color and cut, but all are brought together by shared embellishment and construction. Uppers are made from a combination of weatherproof GORE-TEX fabric and suedes, leathers or nubucks, all embellished with a repeating print that interpolates pill-shaped dots and GORE-TEX logos.
Small Vans hangtags are present on each pair as well, and insoles use modern-day UltraCush foam, making for a comfortable fit to go with the rugged build. Midsoles are vulcanized in classic Vans fashion, and every style comes equipped with an extra pair of GORE-TEX branded laces.
The Vans Old Skool, Sk8-Hi and UltraRange EXO GORE-TEX are available now at the Vans UK webstore. Old Skools are priced at £105 GPB (approximately $127 USD) , Sk8-His at £110 GBP (approximately $134 USD) and UltraRangeEXOs at £120 GBP (approximately $146 USD).
On the other end of the spectrum, Sneakersnstuff has collaborated with Vans Vault for a “Venice Beach” pack, featuring colorful checkerboard patterns and celebrating the 1 year anniversary of SNS LA.
