Tone Launches Minimalist Outerwear & Knitwear for FW20
Focusing on practically designed wardrobe essentials.
Tokyo-based brand Tone has unveiled its minimal yet carefully designed collection for the Fall/Winter 2020 season. Building off the brand’s philosophy of “wardrobe essentials,” the latest collection draws from one’s own lifestyle, using practical design to express the individuality of the wearer. Across a muted color palette of beiges, browns and blues, the range of apparel and accessories are accented by bright red pieces and subtle striped patterning.
Military, work and outdoor elements inform the Takahisa Maede-designed collection. With a focus on outerwear for FW20, Tone unveils a water-resistant Mountain jacket, quilted military coat and PrimaLoft flight jacket crafted for thermal insulation. Key highlights from the collection also include knitwear made from a soft wool derived from the Andes Mountains. The cozy, relaxed sweaters in red and pale blue colorways are essential for the colder winter months. Rounding off the collection are moleskin work pants, wool trousers and field hats.
The FW20 collection can be pre-ordered now on stockists such as BEAMS Japan, WISM, SHIPS and more. For the entire list of stockists, head to Tone’s website.
Elsewhere in Japan, tac:tac features large silhouettes and repurposed militaria in its Fall/Winter 2020 lookbook.
