Rich Brian Channels Teriyaki Boyz for "Tokyo Drift Freestyle"
Complete with a homemade music video created during self-isolation.
Rich Brian is making the most out of self-isolation, with the 88rising mainstay reimagining an iconic Teriyaki Boyz track on “Tokyo Drift Freestyle.”
The two-and-a-half-minute track sees Brian spitting some serious heat over The Neptunes-produced beat, mostly talking about making money in music and real estate. “Tokyo Drift Freestyle” also features a homemade music video from the rapper, showing him practicing the preventive coronavirus measure while also showing off his video editing skills. He ends the video with a shoutout to the Teriyaki Boyz and a brief announcement that new music is coming soon.
Brian’s last solo release dates back to July 2019 with The Sailor. The 12-track sophomore effort featured guest appearances from RZA, Bekon and Joji.
