Raf Simons Crafts Oversized Collage Smiley Sweater & T-shirt

Following its hand-painted Hospital Gown T-shirt, Raf Simons has unveiled yet another statement piece from its SS20 lineup — an oversized Collage Sweater and T-shirt, emblazoned with the label’s recurring smiley motif.
Made in Italy, the Collage Sweater is made up of a lavish merino wool fabric, reconstructed with asymmetrical two-toned paneling. The upper half of the sweater sees a rich mustard-yellow palette, decorated with an intricate diamond weave. Emblazoned at the right side of the body is a tilted print of a black smiley face, crossing slightly over to the lower panel. To contrast the upper section, the lower half of the sweater comes in a creamy-ecru tone, detailed with an intricate chevron motif. As a finishing touch, the piece sees a deconstructed hemline, to accompany the sweater’s oversized construction. The black T-shirt has the same Smiley print as the aforementioned piece, covering most of the front body. The tilted graphic starts from the collars and ends just before reaching the hem, accented by a lush bright yellow vinyl print for vivid contrast.
