The Incorporated Explores Beauty & Pain in Bold "BLESS THIS MESS" SS20 Collection

After toying with streetwear staples in its “THE CEMENT SHOW HOTEL” collection, The Incorporated has shared a new editorial for the Spring/Summer 2020 season dubbed “BLESS THIS MESS.” The 8th collection looks at family relationships in the United States, exploring the love, beauty, stress and pain that is found in every dining room across the country.

For the latest release, new patterns, fabrics and imagery update recognizable silhouettes, signaling a bold new direction for the brand. Like the title implies, the collection looks at both the flaws and beauty in American culture, art and history. The Incorporated’s Creative Director Mark McGinnis aims to tear down conventional notions of “family,” exposing the real hurdles families face as well as the unbreakable bond he sees in every relationship.

Jackets and cargo pants are made out of satin, while all-over Marilyn Monroe prints and collages of inverted classic movie scenes cover zip-up jackets, parkas, long sleeves and pants. Highlights of the collection include velour hoodies, “Grandma’s Couch” upholstery pieces made using deadstock fabric from Los Angeles, graphic T-shirts reading “BLESS THIS MESS” and long sleeves featuring abstract flame designs.

The Incorporated kicked off 2020 with a Paris Fashion Week show, attended by Billie Eilish, Young Thug, Don Toliver and more. The entire collection is available to purchase now on The Incorporated’s website and at in-store retailers, including GR8, Royal Flash, Ayin and more.

Elsewhere, The Museum Visitor released its Spring/Summer 2020 capsule collection featuring original artwork by designer Moonsu Park.
