After dropping off a 991 Made in UK model with ominous blue and gray hues, New Balance elevates the design of its trusty running shoe with a royal colorway. The newest iteration sees the shoe’s white mesh upper overlaid with premium pigskin suede featuring heather gray and navy in a color-blocked aesthetic, accented by red details along the heel and logo. The brand’s notable reflective logo appears on the side with “991” markings on the heel in contrasting red, while the tongue includes an embroidered emblem and a “Made in England” tag with the Union Jack on the interior. Complete with an ENCAP sole unit with ABZORB cushioning that runs throughout the shoe, the shoe deftly exhibits a clean design while staying true to the silhouette’s perennial reputation.
