Konradsen Proclaims "The Year Is Over" With Soulful Ballad
Announcing a new EP titled ‘Rodeo No. 5.’

Just months after releasing their mesmerizing debut album, Saints and Sebastian Stories, Norwegian duo Konradsen — comprised of singer-songwriter Jenny Marie Sabel and multi-instrumentalist Eirik Vildgren — have returned with the announcement that they will be releasing a new EP in May. Titled Rodeo No. 5, the project has been dubbed an extension to their debut full-length, which will see the duo experimenting with structure and sounds as they layer field recordings and samples of ambient sounds. To commemorate the news, the duo has shared the EP’s first single, aptly titled “The Year Is Over.”
Speaking on the forthcoming EP, Konradsen shares that “While last year’s album was crafted meticulously, this EP is focused on fleeting, immediate moments — trying to capture the raw fragments that drift by in everyday life.” Lead single “The Year Is Over” showcases this new direction, pairing traditional balladry with poignant piano chords and subdued percussion, providing a sonic stage that treads a fine line between the worlds of northern melancholy and sun-drenched bliss.
