dvsn and Snoh Aalegra Connect for '90s Style Love Ballad "Between Us"
The mysterious OVO duo has announced their new album’s release date, too.
Mysterious Toronto and OVO-affiliated duo dvsn, comprised of singer-songwriter Daniel Daley and producer Nineteen85 have been gradually revealing new music over the past three months. First there was December’s “No Cryin” featuring Future with a Keke Palmer cameo in the music video, dubbed “every day, lifestyle music” by the group. Then the duo championed “A Muse” featuring a sample of Lonnie Liston’s “A Garden of Peace” by producer Nineteen85, which was originally made famous on JAY-Z’s iconic “Dead Presidents” track.
Today, dvsn teams up with Snoh Aalegra for “Between Us” and has announced their upcoming third studio album A Muse In Her Feelings, set to release April 17 via OVO Sound/Warner Records. “Between Us” is a nostalgic love ballad reminiscent of the golden era of 1990s RnB thanks to a smart flip of Usher‘s “Nice & Slow.” The track also delves into closing distance in a relationship, both emotionally and physically. “Let me start by sayin’ sorry/ Some days I take your time for granted/ You could be the star in my universe/ If I just took time to plan it/ Told me secrets you ain’t wanna/ Trust is big for you, that’s why I’m keeping it a hunna,” Daley sings in the song’s intro.
“The whole idea behind dvsn is, we’re going to give you the unexpected,” Daniel Daley told Billboard. “We are going to go against the grain — be divided from the bunch and separated from the past. The moment you think we’re going to go left, we’re going to do a hard right.” dvsn and Snoh also plan on releasing a music video for the offering in the near future, so stay tuned.

In more music updates, Amazon is no longer importing vinyl record or CD releases for new music even though the company currently stands as the biggest record retailer in the world. The announcement comes after Amazon has shifted to prioritize essential goods and services due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
