Virgil Abloh has whipped up a custom jet for Drake in his latest design venture. The multihyphenate creative shared glimpses of the aircraft earlier today on Instagram, revealing a cloud-printed jet that takes strong references from Drake’s Nothing Was the Same album cover art.

Abloh shared three pictures of the jet, giving sneak peeks at the “AIR DRAKE”-stamped engine and signature “ABLOH” branding on the cabin. One of the wings features an image of a happy mask, though it remains to be seen if the other wing has been given the sad version. And still yet, whether or not there will be a baby sporting an afro pick in his hair somewhere in the design?

Notable music references aside, the airplane’s sky blue and white aesthetic is still an eerily close match to the actual sky. Time will tell what the jet looks like above the clouds, if and when it should make its way into flight.

The project allows Abloh to flex his civil engineering degree, which the designer completed in 2002 as an undergraduate student (though as Vogue notes, he reportedly skipped his final to take a meeting with Kanye West‘s manager at the time).

“The tail number is a problem and the FBO is a whole other story,” Abloh said of the plane in his Instagram caption. ⁣He then tagged Drake and signed off with what can only be explained as his latest full-force undertaking: “c/o ABLOH ENGINEERING®.”

Check out more images of “AIR DRAKE” below from the “Hotline Bling”-artist himself.

Elsewhere for Abloh, the creative director recently showed off the details of his Fall/Winter 2020 Off-White™ collection.
