Danish audio specialist Bang & Olufsen has unveiled the latest in its line of luxury speakers. Named the Beosound Balance, the powerful new home speaker has been designed in collaboration with Benjamin Hubert from LAYER design agency, with the idea of creating the perfect shelf speaker for city homes.
With a design inspired by Scandinavian minimalism, the wireless Beosound Balance features a shape distinctly broken into two components. The speaker featueres a solid wooden base, with a knitted textile wrap and blasted aluminum accenting.
The specifications include seven speaker drivers with beam-forming technology, which allow users to choose between precise and immersive music experiences or powerful room-filling sounds. Additionally, two sound modes — omni-directional and focused — mean users can opt for uniform sound around the speaker or precisely focused music.
Take a look at the Beosound Balance in the gallery above. The speaker is available now from the Bang & Olufsen web store in either “Natural” or “Black,” priced at £1,750 GBP (approximately $2,250 USD).
