3.PARADIS Explores Diversity & Unity in SS20 "Three Little Birds" Collection
The iconography of love, peace and diversity is featured throughout.
Emeric Tchatchoua‘s progressive imprint 3.PARADIS returns for Spring/Summer 2020 with the “Three Little Birds” collection, which has been spotlighted in a Rashidi Noah-shot “fashion story.”
“Three Little Birds” is heavily inspired by individuality, and by recognizing this it can disrupt “internal processes and cultural norms.” With this in mind, 3.PARADIS uses its collection to remind us that unity is integral to a peaceful society, with this idea of unity within diversity being further illustrated throughout the lookbook.
Furthermore, the imagery looks to celebrate an individuals’ differences as that is what “enriches human interactions.” As a result, the lookbook captures a group of male models closely interacting with each other, from artistically supporting one another to protecting a single person in a circle.
This message of society is further channeled through the SS20 clothes. A cream knitted T-shirt is slightly worn to show the map of the world, while a trench coat sports a base that’s covered in a diverse range of raised hands. Another coat depicts a distressed flag, while doves have been used on shirts, trousers and jumpers as a reference to their iconography of love and peace.
