Virgil Abloh Teases a Cream Off-White™ x Air Jordan 5
Revealing an unseen version of the AJ V at All-Star Weekend.

Earlier today, the highly-anticipated Off-White™ x Air Jordan 5 “Black Metallic” officially launched in conjunction with the Jordan Chicago Collaborators Collection, which saw a co-branded woven jacket, boiler suit, pants and tee. Unsurprisingly, all of the pieces from the capsule immediately sold out on SNKRS shortly after release.
Following the drop, Virgil Abloh shared an unseen cream-colored iteration of the Off-White™ x Air Jordan 5 on his Instagram account. The post includes a video of him putting together the sneaker and removing the transparent lining over the circular cutouts on the lateral from one of the pairs. The footwear sports a mainly off-white colorway, with hints of gray along the tongue and red accents on the Jumpman branding and lining. Mysteriously captioned with just the phrase “plot twist,” we’re left to wonder whether this AJ V is just a custom pair, or if the post hints at a possible wider release in the future.
Creative Ibn Jasper also took to Instagram to post a video showing Abloh wearing the sneakers during All-Star Weekend.
The Off-White™ x Air Jordan 5 made its public debut during the Italian brand’s Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2020 runway show earlier this year. To learn the story behind the Chicago Collaborators’ Collection and Michael Jordan as an inspiration, read an earlier interview with Abloh.
