Japanese Photographer RK Announces "NEOrient" Solo Exhibition
Showing at the prestigious DIESEL ART GALLERY.

Japanese digital street photographer RK — short for Ryosuke Kosuge — is showing his artwork in a new, upcoming solo exhibition in Tokyo, Japan.
The artist is showcasing his work as shot within Asia, under the exhibition name “NEOrient.” The pieces previewed here show a wide range of talents within photography that not only encapsulate composition and a mastery of lighting, but also the use of color to tell a story and the juxtaposition of people to their environments. The images are impactful with wide-angled lenses giving an expansive view of the world, all while exploring techniques in gathering detail both within the foregrounds and backgrounds alike.
RK started his photography career in 2013 as an iPhone photographer within the running crew “AFE TOKYO” before gaining accolade. His notable works include “Grandpa in Akihabara” and “Bike at Taipei Bridge” (shown above), while also being renowned as one of the trusted photographers for superflat artist Takashi Murakami. RK now has more than 435,000 followers on Instagram and is known as one of the most considered artists in Japan.
‘NEOrient” will run from February 28 to May 21, 2020 at the DIESEL ART GALLERY at the address below. During the exhibition, guests will have the chance to purchase merch including exclusive catalogs, T-shirts, postcards and more. RK will also be there to autograph any items on Saturday, April 11, 2020 from 4-6 p.m. JST.
In other news, Japanese artist STICKYMONGER will hold her solo exhibition “LONESOME PLANET” in Dubai.
