We’re officially past the madness of NBA All-Star Weekend, and sneaker lovers the world over are finally exhaling. Although this week provides a slight lull after all the ASW goings-on, that doesn’t mean the world’s biggest footwear brands are taking time off; there’s still a solid slate of releases set to arrive at the proverbial buffet this week. Before we wade into what’s in store for us over the next few days, let’s take one more look back at all of last week’s news.

Although the days leading into it were undeniably busy, All-Star Weekend had the globe abuzz with the industry’s biggest players battling it out for domination of the Windy City. Kanye West’s adidas YEEZY line took to the streets in military-style trucks and handed out pairs of the YEEZY QNTM while West’s adoring acolytes followed the trucks block by block — making for a modern-day Pied Piper situation.

Kanye’s close friend and former employee Virgil Abloh made his presence felt, taking to Instagram to tease an alternate cream-colored style of his Off-White™ x Air Jordan 5, mere hours after the retail version released and quickly sold out. Not to be outdone, Don C put forth a new Nike Air Force 1 Hi collaboration, and we provided a closer look at its Chicago flag-inspired design. Jerry Lorenzo joined in on the fun as well, working with legendary photographer Gary Land for an Allen Iverson-inspired editorial to accompany the release of his Nike Air Fear of God 1 “String.”

Supreme recently debuted its SS20 collection, and the New York-based street culture maven also made some serious noise by revealing its newest Air Force 1 collaboration. Moving from the city to the links, Palace and adidas Golf revealed their collaboration with all-pro cast of golfers. PUMA had its moments too, officially announcing a long-anticipated partnership with J. Cole and offering Sonic the Hedgehog customs, while GOAT signed rising NBA rookie Rui Hachimura.

A classic was revived in alternate fashion, with a low-cut iteration of the Nike Dunk “Syracuse” hitting select international stockists. We were also given a look at a trifecta of Air Jordan 1 PEs for three Jordan Brand schools: Oklahoma, Florida and UNC.

Finally, HYPEBEAST presented an editorial on why loafers are set to be the most important shoes of 2020. Skate kicks had an impact as well, with Vans announcing it would release Spicoli’s Slip-Ons from “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” for the first time ever.

Okay. Take a deep breath and exhale. All-Star is really, truly done and we can dive into a hand-selected list of this week’s 10 best releases. There’s commemorative sets, packs of adidas YEEZYS, elegant Air Jordan 1s and more. Check ‘em all out below, and head over to our Drops page for a complete list of what’s hitting shelves this week.

Air Jordan 1 Mid “Milan”

Release Date: February 19 (ONE BLOCK DOWN exclusive), February 22 (Global)
Release Price: $130 USD
Where to Buy: ONE BLOCK DOWN
Why You Should Cop: Basing its details off Milan’s neoclassical architecture, the Air Jordan 1 Mid “Milan” draws from stately stonework and masterful marble alike. With a level of grandeur that’s not usually seen on mid-cut Air Jordan 1s, the “Milan” shows that you don’t necessarily need a high-top collar for a high-end aesthetic.

Nike & Converse “BHM” Collection

Release Date: February 19
Release Price: $75-180 USD
Where to Buy: Nike SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: A four-pack of thoroughly detailed tributes to Black History Month, Nike and Converse’s Air Force 1, Air Max 95, Chuck Taylor and Pro Leather all take on bold color schemes inspired by ’90s streetwear. Each also boasts signature BHM motifs, and the AF1s/AM95s feature tear-away detailing to show that there’s always more than one layer to a story.

Jordan Air Max 200 PSG

Release Date: February 19
Release Price: $190 USD
Where to Buy: Sneakersnstuff
Why You Should Cop: A must for any die-hard Paris Saint-Germain loyalist, the Jordan Air Max 200 PSG presents the club’s signature red and blue hues in unique fashion: red is relegated to the right shoe and blue is entrusted to the left. Apart from these alternating accents, each shoe is loaded with PSG-specific details and boasts a bulbous Air Max unit in the heel for Champion’s League-level comfort.

Disney x adidas Mickey Mouse Collection

Release Date: February 20
Release Price: $120 USD
Where to Buy: adidas
Why You Should Cop: Mickey Mouse is everyone’s favorite cartoon rodent, and now he’s set to bless three equally beloved offerings from adidas Originals as part of a capsule collection. Appearing in 3D comic fashion on the Stan Smith while scurrying across another Stan and a Superstar, Mickey adds a light-hearted air to each memorable silhouette, making for a trifecta of kicks that fans young and old can surely appreciate.

Nike Air Max 720 OBJ Slip

Release Date: February 21
Release Price: $180 USD
Where to Buy: Sneakersnstuff
Why You Should Cop: Odell Beckham Jr may have had a frustrating first season as a member of the Cleveland Browns, but things are looking up for him this offseason thanks to the new Nike Air Max 720 OBJ Slip. With Browns-centric color schemes and a technical strap-and-snap closure system in place of standard laces, this silhouette is undeniably multifaceted and unique — just like the mercurial wideout it was crafted for.

Reebok Zig Kinetica Concept_Type1 “Black/Gum” & “White/Gum”

Release Date: February 21
Release Price: $180 USD
Where to Buy: Reebok
Why You Should Cop: Reebok’s Zig Kinetica Concept_Type1 may be a highly technical silhouette, but it’s certainly not above a classic colorway as evidenced by these two new gum-soled makeups. Dressed in stark black or crisp white, both styles pull the space-age look down from the stratosphere just enough with their traditional monochromatic palettes and gum accents, making for an appealing fusion of old and new.

New Balance 1300JP

Release Date: February 22
Release Price: $300 USD
Where to Buy: New Balance
Why You Should Cop: Elusive and luxurious, the New Balance 1300JP only releases once every five years. Thankfully, 2020 is one of those half-decade benchmarks, and the high-end shoe once dubbed a “sports car for your feet” by its legions of loyalists is back in all its original glory. Supple suedes and sporty mesh give off a classic look on the grey/blue upper, and an original Vibram rubber outsole ensures the shoe will hold up until — and likely beyond — its next release in 2025.

Air Jordan 1 Low “Paris”

Release Date: February 22
Release Price: $130 USD
Where to Buy: Fenom
Why You Should Cop: Inspired by the charm and grace of France’s capital city, the Air Jordan 1 Low “Paris” is an exercise in elegance. With a white, grey and blue color scheme that’s undeniably adjacent to the highly anticipated Dior x Air Jordan 1 set to drop later this year, it’s a more readily available — and reasonably priced — alternative to its couture counterpart.

adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Earth,” “Tail Light” & “Flax”

Release Date: February 22
Release Price: $220 USD
Where to Buy: YEEZY Supply
Why You Should Cop: Kanye West and adidas’s latest slate of regional releases, the adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Earth” in olive-green (North/South America), “Tail Light” in grey/orange (Europe/Russia) and “Flax” in yellow-gold (Asia-Pacific/Africa) make a fearsome three-pack of divergent styles. Each is brought together by signature side stripes plus BOOST-filled midsoles, and is sure to delight loyal legions of YEEZY fans by keeping the ball rolling after the All-Star Weekend drop of the YEEZY QNTM.

BBC Ice Cream x Reebok Answer V

Release Date: February 22
Release Price: $180 USD
Where to Buy: Reebok
Why You Should Cop: Combining bright blue, vivid purple and warm yellow hues, BBC Ice Cream’s latest take on the Reebok Answer V is perfect for the sneakerhead with a sweet tooth. Signature BBC and Ice Cream iconography are present on the design as well, ensuring you know just who sprinkled a little alternate flair on one of Allen Iverson’s most lauded signature silhouettes.
