Hot on the heels of Nike Running‘s official Olympic product announcement, the Zoom Pegasus Turbo II has appeared in a new “Pure Platinum/Black” color scheme. Playing up its technical nature by way of its graphic-swathed upper, this ZoomX-equipped Pegasus is speedy in both name and style.

One piece mesh uppers cut weight and eliminate the need for irritating seams, while thin heels allow for a flexible fit. A standard low-slung black Swoosh drops down into the shaped black midsole, but that’s not the only branded embellishment to be had here. Additional graphics appear on various parts of the shoe, ranging from “Nike Velocity Research” text directly above the Swoosh, to a large Nike Sportswear sunburst logo on the lateral heel. Technical computer-style text is placed on and around the small medial Swoosh, a large “RUN” hit is present on the medial midfoot and what appears to be a map of the universe is front and center on the toebox.

Steel grey accents on the tongue and eyestays add a third color into the mix, and the aforementioned pointed, toothed black ZoomX midsole combines with a traditional rubber outsole to finalize the stylings.

The Nike Zoom Pegasus Turbo II “Pure Platinum/Black” is available now on Nike NZ and at END. for $189 USD.
