Chief Keef Shows His Production Skills on New "Lamb Pass By" Single
Keef hints that his highly-anticipated album ”Almighty So 2’ is on the way.
Since the age of 16, Chief Keef has been steadily releasing multiple projects yearly, experimenting with new sounds that have lured him away from the prototypical Chicago drill scene and then back again. Today, the veteran releases his new self-produced single “Lamb Pass By”, rumored to be apart of the Chicago rapper’s Almighty So 2 project, coming later this year. Keef also took to Instagram to preview a new Valentine’s Day track.
“Lamb Pass By” is a surprisingly soulful reprise that’s contrasted by Keef’s penchant for lucid street stories. His bars consists of choppy syllables that are catchy enough due to their immediacy. “Sosa how it feel? How it feel, to dodge a bullet? (Dodge a bullet)/ In the engine click, clickin’ like it’s out of bullets/ I just caught a opp lackin’ so I gotta pull it/ Wrist cold like a cooler, feel like a pool/ You don’t like a young n*gga, here’s what you do/ Pull up on him, give one, three or two/ I just bought some custom floor mats for the coupe.”
Last year, the Chicago legend modeled the iconic Supreme Box Logo tee at Virgil Abloh’s Figures of Speech exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. Then there was the solid Zaytoven collaborative album in Glotoven that paired him with the Atlanta super-producer for 12 tracks. There’s no release date yet for Almighty So 2 but you can expect it to be on the way in the near future.
