Nike's Air Flight ’89 Receives Bold "Red Cement" Makeover
Retro “University Red” highlights.
Just two days after unveilings its Air Flight ’89 “Black/Orange Blaze,” Nike is already back with a brand new iteration of the throwback silhouette — a retro-inspired “Red Cement.”
Starting at the top, white “AIR Flight” branding is embroidered over the shoe’s tongue over a smooth “Wolf Gray” leather base. Breathable mesh textiles appear along the rest of the tongue, contrasted by black laces that match the shade of the side Swoosh found near the rear quarter. “Nike Air” is etched onto the heel counter, while the rest of the body embraces a bold “University Red” palette in full-grain leather. All of these details sit atop a tri-toned midsole, paneled with black near the mudguards, white around the forefoot and, finally, gray at the heel, completed by a translucent Air Unit bubble that offers a small window to the shoe’s essential cushioning system.
The Nike Air Flight ‘89 “Red Cement” is currently available at FINISH LINE for $120 USD.
