Between a recent Paris Saint-Germain collection and the NBA Paris Game, France’s capital city has been firmly fixated in Jordan Brand‘s mind over the recent months. Now, that Parisian inspiration is entering a new chapter with an elegant Air Jordan 1 Low. A stately, muted nod to the bustling metropolis, this low-cut Air Jordan 1 focuses on telling its story through refined details instead of bright colors.

Uppers combine three materials: smooth leather, soft suede and tightly woven textiles. The first is used strictly on the white quarter panel, providing a literal and figurative centerpoint for the design. The second appears in abundance, gracing the gray mudguard, eyestays and Swoosh as well as the soft blue heel piece. This heel piece also uses a debossed ball-and-wings logo in place of the AJ1 Low’s standard embroidered iteration. A final touch of suede is present on the tongue badge, itself presenting a debossed gold Air Jordan logo. Lastly, the third material appears around the classic collar and tongue, providing sporty structure to the elegant shoe.

Down below, white midsoles and bone-colored outsoles round things off. The shoes also come equipped with a tumbled leather hangtag with a “PRS” hit and a small Nike Swoosh logo.

The Air Jordan 1 Low “Paris” will release on February 22 via retailers like Fenom, and is priced at $130 USD. We may also see other city-centric makeups of the Air Jordan 1 Low and Air Jordan 1 Mid in the coming weeks.

Elsewhere in the world of Jordan Brand, Virgil Abloh recently explained the design process behind his Off-White™ x Air Jordan 5 and discussed his lifelong admiration of Michael Jordan.
