YG Teases 4HUNNID Block Runners Which are Set to Launch in 2021
The ‘My Life 4Hunnid’ artist draws heavy design influence from the Nike Cortez.

YG and his 4Hunnid label are blessing fans with even more merchandise in 2021, some of which for the first time ever will include a delivery of Block Runner sneakers.
The kicks will not be a collaboration with any sportswear brands, but due to the nature of its shape, one can certainly detect the heavy influences from Nike’s ever-classic Cortez model. Being that the My Life 4Hunnid artist was born and raised in Compton, an area in Southern California where the Cortez is omnipresent, the design inspiration here makes total sense.
Much like the aforementioned Swoosh model, these low-slung kicks are presented with leather-infused uppers, toe tip overlays and exposed stitching that borders the throat. Lateral and medial walls usher in flame-like graphics that start at the mid-foot and gradually lead up to a skinnier banner that halts at the heel. In addition, the tongues spell out “The Flame” in cursive font, which points to the new project’s moniker.
The west coast-born rapper took to IG to tease forthcoming white/red, blue/white, black/white and red/white colorways, and announced that the shoes are dropping in March 2021. Retail prices have yet to be announced.
Elsewhere in footwear news, a detailed look at the forthcoming Air Jordan 4 “University Blue” has emerged.
