Pop Smoke Named SoundCloud's Most Streamed Artist of 2020
Streamed more than 191.5 million times this year.
SoundCloud has officially named the late Pop Smoke as the platform’s most streamed artist of 2020.
According to reports, the announcement was made via SoundCloud’s year-in-review, 2020 Playback. Pop Smoke, who posthumously released his debut studio album Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon in July and recently earned a Grammy nomination Best Rap Performance, was streamed more than 191.5 million times this year.
“We celebrate the life and work of Pop Smoke as our Top Artist,” SoundCloud said in a statement. “The rising Brooklyn drill star was beloved by the SoundCloud community and they continue to show it.”
In addition to most streamed artist, 2020 Playback revealed that the most streamed SoundCloud track of the year is Lil Mosey‘s double platinum cut “Blueberry Faygo,” earning more than 54 million plays and 760,000 likes. Meanwhile, the most streamed remix goes to NLE Choppa‘s “Different Day,” which puts a spin on Lil Baby‘s “Emotionally Scarred.”
Elsewhere in music, Four Tet and Madlib dropped off their collaborative joint “Road Of The Lonely Ones.”
