Official Imagery of KAWS x Sons+Daughters Eyewear Collaboration
The collaborative children-sized sunglasses launch later this week.
If there’s any objective truth that describes Brian Donnelly, best known as KAWS, it’s that the world-renowned street artist is wholly devoted to his children. Donnelly dotes on his two girls, taking them to exhibitions and on Halloween adventures; this parental love has blossomed into the creative’s collaboration with Sons+Daughters, a Hong Kong-based eyewear brand specializing in high quality glasses for kids.
KAWS’ cartoonish artworks are ideal for young audiences and translate well to Sons+Daughters’ sturdy frames, as demonstrated by the trio of colorful specs on hand for this partnership. Influenced by KAWS’ Companion, the UV-fighting lenses feature the artist’s signature X’d-out eyes and illustrative gloves (also graced by “X”s) reaching across the hinge. Some of KAWS’ preferred colors inform the frames, which will be available in shades of pink, grey and black and come packaged in thematic cases.
Shop the special kids eyewear on the KAWS ONE website and Sons+Daughters’ web store at 12 p.m. EST on November 19 before they debut at stores like WOAW the next day.
