Using the game’s original Japanese box art.

Champion is joining Nintendo with its celebration of Super Mario Bros.‘ 35th anniversary by launching a graphic-heavy collaborative collection.
Tapping into the original game’s Japanese box art, the capsule features vintage graphics of many of the franchise’s most beloved characters, including Mario and Luigi, Princess Peach, Bowser and Toad, all adorning popular pieces from the fashion brand such as its Reverse Weave hoodies, tie-dye tees, crews, joggers, anoraks, and even full red Super Fleece 3.0 overalls as a tribute to the titular hero’s iconic outfit.
“As a brand that celebrated its centennial anniversary last year, Champion was thrilled to commemorate another iconic brand’s milestone,” said David Robertson, Champion’s director of global brand marketing. “From the beginning, Super Mario Bros. has represented teamwork by introducing many beloved characters who work together for the greater good. Champion is a brand that celebrates teams, in any shape or form, and we’re excited to welcome the whole Super Mario Bros. crew to ours.”
For those interested, the Super Mario Bros. x Champion limited edition collection will be available globally from November 18 over on the fashion brand’s website as well as various retail partners, including Finish Line, PacSun, Jimmy Jazz, Tilly’s, Zumiez and Shiekh Shoes.
Elsewhere in fashion, the Guggenheim Museum has released a hoodie to commemorate the 2020 HUGE BOSS Prize.
