U.K.’s slowthai is giving fans a reason to smile with his newest face mask merchandise.
The covering highlights the bottom half of the English rapper’s face and projects an eerie half-laughing expression — a homage to the artwork of Aphex Twin‘s Richard D. James Album. A quilted lining adds comfort to the mask, while elasticated straps with toggles allow for personal adjustment.
The full image was actually taken for a signed postcard slowthai sent out to announce the completing of his upcoming album TYRON, which is set to drop in February 2021. “last week i spent 2 days signing and sending out a few thousand surprise postcards at random to you lot,” he wrote on Instagram in mid-November 2020. “i couldn’t send one to everyone but i hope you know you’re forever appreciated… album 2 is done. love to you all.”
The slowthai Face Covering is available for pre-order on his webstore for £10 GBP (approximately $15 USD).
