RMR Flips Goo Goo Dolls' "Iris" for "Substitution For Love"
Completing his ‘4th Quarter Medley’ project.
RMR has dropped off the third and final installment of his 4th Quarter Medley project, “Substitution For Love.”
The newest cut flips Goo Goo Dolls’ 1998 hit song “Iris” and further proves that RMR’s talent reaches beyond the realms of hip-hop. “Substitution For Love” follows “That Was Therapeutic,” a melancholic reimagination of Drake‘s “Laugh Now Cry Later” and “The Wishing Hour,” a rework of Matchbox 20’s “3AM.”
4th Quarter Medley Project follows the release of his debut EP Drug Dealing Is A Lost Art, which featured contributions from Westside Gunn, Future and Lil Baby. “With this first project, I’m putting it out to kind of understand not exactly what I’ll be in the future but what you’re gonna hear in the future as I grow as an artist,” RMR told HYPEBEAST back in May 2020.
