Fortnite will soon be getting a monthly subscription service. Starting next week, exlusive in-game cosmetics and currency will be offered to subscribers.

The announcement was made on the PlayStation blog, revealing the service’s name as “Fortnite Crew,” where players will receive the newest battle passes, alongside 1,000 V-Bucks and cosmetics —those who already have battle passes will be refunded 950 V-Bucks. “An exclusive bundle of a new outfit plus at least one new matching accessory (like a Glider, Pickaxe, or Emote),” will be offered, notes the blog. Players will still get to keep the goods even if they decide to end their subscriptions. The first outfit Fortnite is planning on rolling out is the Galaxia, a cosmic-themed avatar that comes with a back bling and a pickaxe — future outfits will be unveiled later on.

Fortnite Crew will launch on December 2 with the arrivals of Chapter 2 — Season 5 for a monthly subscription of $12 USD. Head over to Epic Games’ website to find out more.

For those interested in improved Fortnite graphics, the game will soon be playable in 4K on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
