Alex Trebek Shares Words of Hope in Posthumous Thanksgiving Message
“Keep the faith.”
The late Alex Trebek delivered a short message of hope in a posthumous Thanksgiving address for Jeopardy!
Filmed before his death earlier this November 2020, the host took a moment to greet America and reminded it to “keep the faith.” He said, “Happy Thanksgiving, ladies and gentlemen. You know, in spite of what America and the rest of the world is experiencing right now, there are many reasons to be thankful.”
“There are more and more people extending helpful hands to do a kindness to their neighbors, and that’s a good thing,” he continued. “Keep the faith. We’re going to get through all of this and we’re going to be a better society because of it.”
Trebek died on November 8 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He served as the Jeopardy! host for a record-setting 36 years, leading over 7,000 episodes since 1984. The unaired episodes filmed prior to his death will continue to air until December 25.
