Sotheby’s is auctioning off a rare Jordan Brand x Converse “UNC” pack, released back in 2012 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Michael Jordan‘s game-winning shot during the University of North Carolina’s National Championship.
The pack includes a signed pair of Jordan Brand x Converse Pro Leathers in size US 13 and two of Michael Jordan’s UNC jerseys — one he wore during practice and another with his autograph. Only 30 units of the pack were ever made, and the lot being auctioned off is the ninth unit. The James R. Jordan Foundation, founded by MJ’s mother Deloris in honor of her late husband, has provided the pack in hopes of raising funds in its aim to help children attain equal opportunity and quality education, regardless of their socio-economic status. According to sources, the auction is currently being estimated to fetch at least $100K USD.
Sotheby’s will be opening up bids for the Jordan Brand x Converse “UNC” pack from November 2 to November 10 on the auction house’s website.
In case you missed it, Futura 2000’s Nike Dunk High Pro SB “FLOM” has fetched $63K USD at Sotheby’s auction.
