Drawing on influences from high fashion, Japanese workwear and ‘retro futurism’, ASICS has readied its latest UBS-1 GEL-KAYANO 14 sneaker ahead of its release next month.

Arriving alongside a debut collaboration with designer Kiko Kostadinov, this late 2000s-looking runner dons a striking red and blue colorway, with black laces and mesh panels. Retaining the original GEL-KAYANO 14 running shoe aesthetic, the upper features modified materials with synthetic leather and elongated pull tabs added.

Comprising the brand’s GEL cushioning technology and its TRUSSTIC support unit, each sneaker arrives with traditional tooling, while also evolving its functionality for the modern day.

The UBS-1 GEL-KAYANO 14 is set to launch on November 27 and will be available from the ASICS webstore for $160 USD.

In other sneaker news, you can now take a closer look at adidas’ IIM 4D that’s arriving in a gray and yellow colorway.
