Peacock Shares First Trailer for 'Saved by the Bell' Reboot
Elizabeth Berkley and Mario Lopez both make their returns.
Announcing its premiere date on Tuesday, NBCUniversal‘s streaming platform Peacock has now dropped the first trailer for the upcoming Saved by the Bell reboot, giving fans of the original ’90s series a closer look at what’s in store.
Based around a similar premise as the original sitcom, the reboot brings fans back to Bayside High, following a new group of students around their daily adventures. After Mark-Paul Gosselaar’s character Zack Morris becomes the Governor of California, he’s met with issues relating to the underfunding of high schools in the region, leading to some of these affected students being sent to the state’s higher-performing schools. The privileged kids at Bayside High are then forced to confront the reality brought in by the new students.
Original stars Elizabeth Berkley and Mario Lopez have both returned to reprise their role in the series, joined by new cast members Josie Totah, Mitchell Hoog, Dexter Darden, Haskiri Velaquez, Alycia Pascual-Pena and Belmont Cameli.
The reboot of Saved by the Bell will arrive to Peacock on November 25.
Elsewhere in entertainment, LeBron James’ SpringHill Entertainment is producing a documentary about the Black Wall Street Massacre.
