Apple Expected to Reveal the iPhone 12 During Upcoming "Hi, Speed" Event
Poised to introduce 5G capabilities for the first time.

Following the reveal of its new iPad Air and Apple Watches, Apple returns once again to reveal what many anticipate to be its upcoming iPhone 12. The company has sent out invites to its upcoming event on October 13 with the tagline “Hi, Speed.” This has lead many to suggest that the upcoming event will focus on the new iPhone and its 5G capabilities.
In the latest round of rumors, Apple is slated to be introducing the iPhone 12 Mini as part of the company’s new line of iPhone units. The smallest iPhone 12 in the line-up would feature a screen of 5.4 inches, and could even be smaller than the current iPhone SE (which sports a 4.7-inch screen). Joining the line-up will be the standard iPhone 12 that should have a 6.1-inch screen, as will the iPhone 12 Pro. The Pro Max version will utilize a 6.7-inch display.
Although they’ve already been packed inside the new iPad Air and Apple Watch Series 6, many expect Apple’s new A14 Bionic chipset to be inside the device as well. The company has yet to offer how the powerful new chipset differentiates to its predecessor, and the upcoming event may delve into that information.
Apple’s “Hi, Speed” event is slated to take place on October 13 at 10 am PDT.
In other tech news, Apple recently applied for a “self-healing” foldable iPhone display patent.
