Alife Adds Oversized Logos to the Reebok Zig Kinetica
The co-created shoe features Alife’s signature Futura-style typeface and boldly-colored details.
New York City stalwart Alife is continuing its long and fruitful partnership with Reebok by way of a fresh take on the Zig Kinetica. Centered around oversized logos and boasting accents done up in primary colors, the two’s latest sneaker toys with a maximalist concept but pulls things back just enough for a look that’s loud without being overpowering.
Uppers are built of molded white synthetic mesh and quickly embellished with a large Alife logo, stamped in black on the lateral side and intersecting with a raised translucent heel counter. This heel counter itself features a Reebok Vector graphic, supplying the first of many co-branded details. The medial side is left largely untouched, while heels and collars alike take on a bright yellow hue. Three lace options are available — red, yellow and white, all with black flecks — and Alife/Reebok logos reunite once again on the tongue.
White midsoles feature a responsive Zig cushioning system with a repeating print that alternates between more Alife and Reebok graphics, all encased in a protective translucent rubber shell. The rear of these midsoles is presented in a bright red, and blue outsoles complete the look with a final dash of vibrance.
The Alife x Reebok Zig Kinetica will release on the Greenhouse app come October 9, then hit the Reebok and Alife’s webstores a week later on October 16. The MSRP is set at $130 USD.
